ARPM EADD 1Wiki.jpg

EADD started operations in 2008 as a ten year program with the pilot phase implemented in 2008 - 2012, and phase two planned for 2013 - 2017. The project is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and implemented by Heifer international and a consortium of partners, including International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Technoserve, Africa Breeders Services - Total Cattle Management (ABS-TCM) and World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF). Currently in the last of a four year pilot phase, EADD has grown to be one of the leading market oriented agro-livestock development in the Eastern Africa region.

Vision: To transform the lives of 179 000 farmers - approximately one million people - in Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda by doubling their household dairy income through integrated interventions in dairy production, marketing and knowledge application.
